| Cake from my sister :) |
Birthday was over, so quickly. I didn't even have enough time to make wishes. (No la, just kidding)
I had great time with all lovely people. Thought it would be sad and all alone because I spent my birthday last year with the my (ex) loved.
It was better than expected, I got 3 cakes in total from my colleagues, friends and sister.
I kinda force everyone to get me a cake actually. I wasn't the type that will ask for birthday cake but its' 21st birthday, I just feel like I need cake(s) to complete it which I did.
So thank you all, sincerely.
My parents forgotten my birthday, as usual. I purposely rush home after work on Monday (that's my actual birth day) just to see if they have prepare anything for me.
Oh ya just FYI, 21st birthday for Chinese is a serious and big matter. My elder siblings had a party for that. Of course, I didn't expect a party from my parents.
Anyway they dont remember it. HAHAHA.
So I asked for red eggs from my mom. It's a tradition for Chinese to have 2 red eggs on birthday. Sorry, I dont know why. Then dad gave me some money as birthday angpao.
I was happy with that already.
Overall, a good day with simple celebrations and love. :)
#Social media hates
The title might sound funny to you but that was closest to what I'm trying to continue here.
As you all know I'm working in advertising agency and I have done research for my assignment last year on 2014 trends.
I figure out and knew that this year we will have alot alot of "consumer-generated content", be it social media or any other mediums.
So today again I have come across this blogger talking about an untrustworthy site. I've view this site before but wasn't sure about the sources of all the content.
She is correct about this site isn't ethical in posting all their articles but then again I've accepted the fact that "everyone wants to have a say", especially on Facebook.
Sometimes I wish I can have selective reading and hearing about all these people Facebook status and comment on a "trendy topic".
There is this girl on my FB, she is a uni student living the glorious student life. Basically, no worries is her biggest worries in life.
Every single matter happen in Malaysia will be her problem and concern. I'm fine with that actually.
What I cant stand is she is giving her comment with bias and angers. She showed no respect to Malaysians when it comes to politic or races issues.
I'm totally fine if you wanna put in your 5 sen but please be more critical when you're publishing your words for all to see.
People nowadays are so negative (okay la, I'm one of them) and they create so much hates in this world.
Hates bring us no good you see, it brings quarrel, it brings murder, it brings health problem, it brings loneliness, it brings no time, it brings war as well.
We just need to learn to be more critical and considerate when it comes to talking, writing. Pick and post the right words not just "what you thought".
#Random Wednesday
Today was a good day at work. No heavy workload but it was quite bored in the morning.
Hence, I did some research for my trip in October.
Frankly, I'm so worried and scared of the tripping alone thing. I've never tried traveling to another country alone before.
So I tried to plan my itinerary and hopefully I wont suffer myself with low sense of direction.
I'm madly in love with this jumpsuit cause it gives a "slight dose of sexiness" at the back and the cutting all are fitting me so well...
Jumpsuit: H&M
Ankle Boots: Pull & Bear
Bag: Topshop
Necklace: Forever 21
Watch: Daniel Wellington
Have a great day!
